Behind The Scenes

This is a picture of me (left) and my sister (right), taken by Lynn Blades Brown Photography

When I first got my camera, I never imagined that I would be doing what I am today with it. I organically got it to capture family holidays/days and to experiment with it when we looked after other peoples pets in order to show their owners what we had got up to. I had never expected to love photography so much that I want to start up a business.

As a photographer, I want to be known for providing keepsakes and memories for my clients in a creative yet affordable way. This is why I include a set amount of digital prints within the packages I offer so that you not only have something slightly more permanent than a physical print but you can also choose just how you wish to use the photograph’s. I also pride myself in trying my best to capture the relationship between my clients as well as capturing individual personalities. This is why I try my best to take as many candid shots as possible.

I mainly do location based work, whether this be at your house or at another location entirely whereby I use my surroundings to create the pictures. I particularly love open spaces or woods as I find these to be incredibly versatile and that they tend to make much more interesting photos. I also find that they tend to take some awkwardness away from the situation (because, let’s face it, not everyone necessarily likes having their photo taken), especially if my client is in an environment that they are comfortable in. That said, I have started to do some studio work and can set up a small studio at home with professional lighting and backdrops.

It is really important to me that my clients love my work and that they would say that I went above and beyond to help capture these precious photos, the relationship between those having their picture taken and the personalities of those in front of the camera. This is why I do my best to:

  • Capture as many candid shots as possible.
  • Have a range of packages to suit as many needs as possible.
  • Spend as much time as I can editing the photographs that I have taken.
  • Deliver proofs to you as soon as possible. The time it takes does depend on how busy I am but the proofs will get delivered to you in the shorted amount of time possible.
  • Be as relaxed as possible at the shoot in order to make you feel as comfortable as you possibly can be!

I hope this has helped you to decide whether or not you want to use me as your photographer and if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me via the means below!

Beth 🙂
