Casey and Honey – 30/05/2017

This week, I had the privilege of taking photos of Casey and her ride Honey.

I originally met Casey at Hartpury College, where we share some of the same modules and she has just finished her first year of a BSc (Hons) Equestrian Sports Coaching degree. Casey is a BHS Preliminary Instructor, based at Tumpy Green Equestrian Centre and is also the current Chairman of Hartpury Polo Club (of which I am also a part of).

At the beginning of the year, Casey took over the ride of ‘Tullibards Mountain Pearl’ aka ‘Honey’. Honey is an Irish bred mare and has previously been successful at Intermediate and CIC* eventing and Casey hopes to enter their first BE event together by the end of this season.

Casey hopes to pursue a career in coaching alongside producing and selling horses, however, tells me that she may end up purchasing Honey for herself!

It may not look like it, but Honey can be a little bit sharp so we had to get any bareback photos quickly. However, she was very well behaved and this resulted in some lovely photos of both her and Casey!
